The mice were euthanized with carbon dioxide at specified time points post drug administration, blood samples (~0.8 mL) were collected in heparinized microtubes by cardiac puncture, and jejunum as well as xenograft tumors were removed and flash-frozen on dry ice. Following incubation, the reaction was quenched at each time point (0.25, 0.5, 1, and 3 h), by aliquoting 10 μL of the reaction mixture to a new tube containing 30 μL of methanol containing 0.5 μm losartan (internal standard).
