Film Review: Silver Bullet 1985 HNN

The action is well-done. The film doesn’t hide what it is. Brad Pitt fans showed up and had a good time. The running time drags. Still, as the title cards flash over each character, there is a strange sense of justice to their fates. As a reminder, Blondie playfully mentions that it "seems like old times" as Tuco is left standing on a flimsy wooden grave marker while his riches are right under his feet. Blondie gets to enact his revenge against his partner by putting him in the same position as he was at the beginning of the movie. Blondie reminds Tuco that "there are two types of people in the world, those who shoot and those who dig," and once again tosses him the shovel. This is one of the few films I never tire of and after hundreds of viewings, I still see new things to appreciate. The rest of the film looks magnificent and for me, this really is the best it’s ever looked on home video. I actually didn't notice it my first time through the film. I love how every time I see this film, it's still exciting to watch even though I know every twist and turn in the plot. I love how that none of the lead characters are heroes in the traditional sense. Letterboxd — Your life in film

Game – Movie Review: Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life (

  • For some time after, Eastwood's publicity was handled by Jerry Pam of Gutman and Pam.
  • How that relationship evolves with his hesitance and his inability to finish “the job” his Yakuza management has asked him to fulfill is the core of the film.
  • When he’s not writing about firearms and tactics, Clay is the author of the novel Last Son of The War God, a gritty story about dispensing justice the hard way.
  • Facilitated FY-XX CPO training to the creed training sessions for X CPO Selectees while serving as a sponsor and mentor to X newly selected CPOs.
  • Following a relentless search, Tuco captures Blondie using the same scheme with another partner (Tuco doesn't allow Blondie to shoot the rope this time and the unfortunate "Shorty" is hanged) and marches him across the harsh desert.
  • The Hammer bullet was able to turn those copper petals into more tissue damage.
  • This relationship in no way influenced the reviewer’s opinion of the game or its final score.
  • This nonlinear film shows us the sacrifices made by one of the CIA’s formative members.
  • But it could also happen indirectly through a better night’s sleep.
Though visually in line with the rest of the experience, the methods to tackle bosses are vastly different than the rest of the game. No other enemy in the game has avoidable projectiles, which could have spiced up the enemy variety. Similarly, the bullet-hellish sections were a breath of fresh air from the melee or hitscan-oriented levels. Sprinkling a bit of stealth throughout the game instead of condensing it all into one short level could compliment the cautious playstyle that the game encourages you to adopt. You’d really prefer to have both of those elements working for you, but a filmmaker can get by as long as one of them is strong. 1 product and 1 review Some people on the naughty list deserve what’s coming down the chimney, and Nelson’s direction ramps up as Billy crashes a white power Christmas party and the message “Kill Nazis” flashes on the screen. The bit everyone remembers from the first film involves antlers — this gets a new spin here.

Reeling: The Movie Review Show

Leone's decision to make Betterville a Union-run establishment — to emphasise his distrust of the winner's view of history — managed to penetrate deeply into the nasal passages of most US critics. Futhermore, by setting his story of three renegades all searching for buried gold against the backdrop of the US Civil War, Leone makes a mockery of any conception of good and evil. More than this, however, it's a title with a pleasing irony and one which encapsulates the dark nihilism which made the film so unpopular with many US critics. And with The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (II Buono, II Brutto, II Cattivo) Sergio Leone certainly found one for the concluding film in his Dollars trilogy. Why must we ‘put away our childish things’, and is not fear still listed amongst those things that adults do not have time for?

  • Its influence on the Spaghetti Western genre, popular culture, and the broader landscape of cinema is a testament to the enduring power of visionary storytelling.

  • Indeed, they’ve not just gone and done the “equivalent” of the “Death Gun” arc, but just up and centered the whole damn game around its setting!
  • Great company with very helpful people.
  • I actually got mobbed last night by some people after the show.
  • That gimmick, director John Woo tells Vulture, “allowed me to use visuals to tell the story, to tell how the character feels.” And in that, the film succeeds.

In the first of many difficult-to-stomach sequences, just minutes after Bob drives off for the night, leaving Sara with Bob’s ex-wife and stepfather, all hell breaks loose. Despite pulpy dialogue and a nearly three-hour runtime that will test the patience of more squeamish audience members, Cassavetes’ latest thrills and mesmerizes in equal measure. MJW wasn’t just the star of As Good as Dead, he also wrote the film and his production company, Jaigantic Studios produced the film. … Plus, some added action star power with Tom Berenger and Louis Mandylor. One of the more exciting and unpredictable elements of the streaming movie world is when a random movie catches fire! He is Charles Cullen (Eddie Redmayne) and he is a boon, both for the stressful night shift and for her children. And yet her nine-year-old (Alix West Lefler) rants, “I don’t get anything – I don’t even get you! Diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, she is in desperate need of a heart transplant, but with no medical insurance she can but work longer night shifts in order to pay her bills. Two nurses, one good and one bad, form a friendship amid a spate of real-life hospital murders. Cup and core, jacketed lead works but tend to separate thus penetration is often less in big game such as elk, moose and bear but cost much less. Terminal ballistics tell the story here. Is the bullet monolithic copper, standard cup and core, is it bonded, or is it partition/A-Frame? Aside from a few small hairs at the bottom edge of the frame, there’s no significant damage to report. Arrow’s HDR grade isn’t necessarily any brighter, but they’ve brought up much more shadow detail, sometimes dramatically so. Everything is still dominated by those familiar weatherbeaten browns, but there’s far more depth to the range of colors that are still on display. Cinematographer Tonino Delli Colli shot The Good, the Bad and the Ugly on 35mm film in 2-perf Techniscope using Arriflex 35 IIC cameras with spherical lenses. It’s the one TGTBATU to rule them all, and it’s also one of the best, if not the very best, physical media release of 2025 so far. None of that is likely, however, so it’s fair to say that Arrow’s set is the best-looking, best-sounding, most comprehensive 4K version of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly that we’re ever going to get. Now, L’Immagine Ritrovata’s scans are getting long in the tooth at this point, and scanning technology has improved since then, so it’s always possible that someone will do fresh scans in the future that may result in visual improvements. As hard as it may be to believe, the massive location with thousands of graves wasn’t a real cemetery, but rather one that was constructed from scratch for the film—with the assistance of the Spanish Army, no less. A train carrying new county governor Ma Bangde (Feng Xiaogang), his wife (Liu Jialing) and personal secretary-cum-professional swindler Tang (Ge You) is hijacked by bandit Zhang Muzhi, known as Scarface Zhang (Jiang Wen). Aside from notable appearances by Rich Brian and Nina Lin, I don’t find “LETS GO” to be particularly special within his discography. While the rest of the song is laid-back and cool it’s contrasted by the pained nature of its metaphors. I want weight, rawness. I think I need some darkness, a good speaker setup, and some flashing lights to make me fully appreciate this one, but it’s getting me in the winter mood. It just serves to introduce Damon’s character to his nemesis though. However, his true love lies elsewhere and their relationship is torn apart by Wilson’s eagerness to be away as well as his infidelity at times although Clover is not perfect either. This nonlinear film shows us the sacrifices made by one of the CIA’s formative members. Copper hollow point bullets do mushroom as much or more than the lead core. The Nosler Accubond is one of the worlds best bonded and accurate bullets but Nosler says the Partition bullet is best on penetration for an exit wound. Both bonded, partition, and monolithic bullets lead-the-pack in penetration. Bullet Train is the ideal movie to watch with a crowd if you’re in the mood for a non-stop action ride. Bullet Train is maybe 20 minutes too long; the movie seems to be having too much fun to reach its final station on time. If “Bullet Train” is one of the worst movies that Brad Pitt has ever starred in — better than “Troy,” but a hair short of “The Mexican” — this big shiny nothing of a blockbuster is also a remarkable testament to the actor’s batting average over the last 30 years, and some of the best evidence we have as to why he’s been synonymous with the movies themselves for that entire time. Japanese movies of the time seemed rather dead with their budgets slashed and less about the director’s ideas. Remember that these films were shot to be seen on an old timey TV set. There was a lot of potential for this film, but it seemed to be sold a bit short. Maybe this was because those making the film were too aware of the political commentary they were making. Murrow seems like an engaging enough character, but they didn’t explore his character nearly as much as they could have. The nominally Good characters generally kill the Bad ones only (although they’re only too happy to turn the lives of the Ugly into a living hell, as exemplified by Blondie’s treatment of Tuco in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly). To be fair, it’s easy to get a little confused, because in Leone’s west, good, bad, and ugly are relative terms, and the lines between them may seem blurry to an impartial observer. The difference is that Lee Van Cleef’s Col. Mortimer was the ostensible Good character, while Indio (Gian Maria Volonté) was the Bad one and Manco (Clint Eastwood) was the Ugly, or flawed superwarrior.
  • For a film about returning home to Cleveland for a funeral, director Robert Schwartzman’s The Good Half is surprisingly busy.
  • In this part of my Night Shred review, you’ll be able to see all of the active ingredients and what benefits they may have.
  • It’s not just a soundtrack; it’s a character in itself.
  • There are times when Silver Bullet feels like a movie that’s in conflict with itself.
  • Leone has said that this scene was, in part, inspired by Buster Keaton’s silent film, The General.
  • The song ends with a commitment, “And I said next time/Next time/We’ll get it right,” lines that Seger delivers with exceptional power and passion.
  • So that’s a bit outdated, but not bad at all.
  • In addition to the actors who gained recognition for their perfectly played roles in the movie, Sergio Leone became prominent for his unique directorial style.
This game is Japanese-dub only, much like its predecessors. It was cute the first few times, but them only having that one line made it irritating. When I say every time, I mean literally every time. Just so there’s never any doubt whilst watching that Kang-ho is supposed to be the funny one, he also wears an amusing hat. And just like Eli, he brings to the film most of the wit, banter, and physical comedy that keeps the film from ever steering too far away from the fun at its core. Admittedly, he is one of my favourite film directors and just has an amazing ability to make all of his work look so damn stylish! Probably the aspect of the movie that I liked the most was its refusal to take itself too seriously and instead just throwing masses of energy into ensuring that the audience was having as much fun as possible. As a side-note, the actors involved in the movie apparently did their own stunts – one of which resulted in a broken arm for Woo-sung Jung. ‘Tin Soldier’ Trailer: Jamie Foxx, Scott Eastwood, & Robert De Niro Action Flick Arrives In September Alec Baldwin, Robert De Niro, William Hurt and Michael Gambon play smaller, intricate roles that help shape the actions of the main character — Edward Wilson. And to go along with the tale, Robert De Niro put himself together quite the cast of characters. Yeah, it’s been done before in some shape or form, but what sets The Good Shepherd apart from the others, is the story of the emotional and personal sacrifices given for God and Country. It has been quite some time since a well thought out movie in this genre has surfaced — I wont count the latest James Bond movie, even though it is technically a spy movie (so please comment on any I’ve missed).
Hard to follow the story
A smattering of contrasting, seemingly mismatched and certainly un-musical sounds has never been so well suited to an equally chaotic cinematic world, providing the perfect backing to the adventure that the characters find themselves on, frequently set back or hurtled forwards by strange, unpredictable circumstances. Despite the unofficial trilogy title, Clint Eastwood's character is ‘the good' Blondie, Lee Van Cleef is ‘the bad' Angel Eyes and Eli Wallach (underrated generally as an actor) plays Tuco, ‘the ugly'. Thankfully, that indelible image, so beautifully captured by the cinematography of Tonino Delli Colli (whose overall career is absolutely astounding), is also surrounded by almost 3 hours of the most confident, ground-breaking, thrilling filmmaking of all time too. Morricone’s use of unconventional instruments and his ability to capture the essence of the characters through music set a precedent for how integral a soundtrack could be to the overall cinematic experience. These characters transcend the conventional archetypes of the genre, adding layers of complexity and moral ambiguity. In this article, we will delve into the enduring legacy of “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” and explore how it changed the game in movie-making.

I doubt Sean Faris can even ride a motorcycle….you can’t be an action hero without riding a motorcycle. Where GCBC fails is that it slips a convoluted plot into a movie that just didn’t need one. It does star Lorenzo Lamas, and if you don’t like that then we just can’t be friends. Either way, GCBC isn’t a terrible movie by any means. While you may know it as a film called Black Dawn, you probably haven’t heard of it at all. It could’ve undoubtedly been a mindless action trilogy, emphasizing large-scale spectacle that stimulates the senses, but leaves strong character work to the wayside. What more could you ask for in a series whose action sequences have progressively gone bigger in scale, but always keeps its focus on the intimate character work Pierret smartly develops throughout his three installments? The practical action and environments are a joy to observe when it’s so well-mounted and invigorating.

Convoluted and wild… It’s the ridiculousness and twisty nature of Bullet Train that makes this film such a wild ride. When the end credits roll on Bullet Train, it’s almost a shock to not see Guy Ritchie listed as the director. Seven Psychopaths, Pulp Fiction/Hateful Eight, and Free Fire — pretty much any movie about murderers murdering murderers — rolled into one. Brian is peppered with bullets—most of which sink into his bullet-proof vest, but a few find flesh. Some of those shooting victims might not necessarily succumb to the bullets, but the subsequent drops off stairways surely would’ve polished them off. When the car stops, blood oozes down the windshield … but it’s joined by a quick spatter of blood, too (suggesting that the bullet punctured an artery).

Predictive factors for obtaining PDE-5i while avoiding interaction with healthcare professions were embarrassment and the perception that it would be cheaper to get the medicine through alternative means. In two large surveys, 23–32% of PDE-5i users had no prior interactions with healthcare professionals (13,14). Besides the high profit margins, the underlying characteristics of consumers of PDE-5i make it a prime target for counterfeiters. I also keep a viewing log that tracks everything I watch, whether it gets a full review or not, complete with stats. Now I only discover it when I go to write a review and find I already wrote one fifteen to twenty years prior. This site began in 2003 when I got fed up with realizing halfway through yet another movie that I'd already seen it. Things do veer off course towards the end, and this is where the interest level dips, but the majority of the movie is entertaining. Near the midway point, a rescue attempt is made, which involves another train, and this adds further drama. To create further suspense, various obstacles are tossed into the mix while the train is thundering down the tracks. It is instead a remake of the ‘70s film, with a few adjustments. However, the premise of Bullet Train Explosion also sounds like the premise to the 1975 Japanese movie, The Bullet Train – and in all honesty, it should! Wow, keeping up these train jokes is hard. But everybody's quickfire banter and commitment to the bit is what keeps the film on the rails -- wait, I already used that one. Of all people, the weak links are Michael Shannon and rapper Bad Bunny, a charismatic musician left with a pretty thankless role that consists entirely of silent glowering. Pitt breezes through this sort of thing with the easy charm of an unassailable movie star, while Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry all fill the screen with complete confidence. You might suspect it's parody, but while this film loves to wink at the audience, this is one area where I doubt its self-awareness. As for our Man from the Midwest, he is dazzled by “All those big city nights/In those high rolling hills/Above all the lights,” “her diamonds and frills” and that gorgeous face that causes him to lose all control. We never learn what motivates her participation in the relationship, but with “a face that would let her get her way,” it’s highly unlikely she’d ever go long-term with a hick from the sticks. Sooner or later, and when Bob Seger decided to record parts of Stranger in Town in La-La Land, he had earned enough dough from Live Bullet and Night Moves to rent a house in the Hollywood Hills, which gave him a nice view of the city lights when the smog wasn’t too bad. A lifelong critic of AAA games, Nathan prefers to spend his time with smaller niche titles. Nathan was a reviews editor for RPGFan, and the site's self-declared Nintendo expert. This relationship in no way influenced the reviewer’s opinion of the game or its final score. You can get your gun and Sword Art Online action in better games. If there’s anything that Fatal Bullet put me in the mood for, it’s shooters. As Good as Dead has so many of the basic elements that make action movies work… you have a proven action hero in Michael Jai White.. But every time there’s a clunky choice or the pace of the movie starts to wear a bit, there comes a new sequence fueled by great performances and inventive writing. GOD IS A BULLET is a return to those grimier films where the errant knight delves into a seedier world and most likely will not emerge with his armor still shiny and bright. There is no story, and there is no reason for getting involved, other than to waste a bit of a time during a Friday night drinking session with like minded mates. StripFast 5000 Fire Bullets provides seven key ingredients, most of which have associations with weight loss. Some of them are pretty good but they don’t tend to be good enough to compete with the products that appear on all the “best diet pill” lists. Those of us who like a thinking man’s movie will do good to see it. Without a doubt The Good Shepherd is a well told, intricately woven story. Another drawback is the length of time, The Good Shepherd runs over 2.5 hours! The key to any big game cartridge really is the bullet and its construction, like bonded, A-frame or copper for the task desired. Later post WWII hunters learned that a round nose bullet at shorter ranges inside of 200 or so yards were like the hammer-of-thor thus dropping game pronto. The distances we encounter and hunt big game like deer, bear, and moose as well a bullet shape and construction play a large part of a big game cartridge. With help from prosthetics and makeup, De Niro ensures Costello and Genovese are presented as two very separate figures, and everything he does with them is a bright spot in the film. If The Alto Knights has one very notable element going for it, then it is the dual performance from De Niro, with the actor playing both Costello and Genovese. In The Alto Knights, the year is 1957 and in New York, mob boss Frank Costello is shot and left for dead. Ash is the sort of picture which is ideal for a dark night in; an afternoon with a beer; or just a 90-minute window when you want to have your senses stimulated. Of course, the Federal and Black Hills ammo were also solid performers, but we cannot explain the high SD and ES of the Federal ammo this time around, that is very non typical for Gold Medal Match. This is not a fault of RUAG but rather the delicate chamber cut on the Alpha-66 and how it was setup specifically for the 190gr Sierra Match King bullet. We figured that these two rifles would give an excellent sampling of what could be expected from a wide spectrum of bolt action rifles.

Perhaps owing to Yonezu’s vocaloid roots, it’s faultlessly produced and effortlessly genre bending. The whole song feels like a dream, but not necessarily a good or bad one. Ugh, don’t you just love a song full of malaise? It can honestly be said that Nick displays something like his father’s fierce, independent filmmaking streak in “God Is a Bullet,” so here’s hoping he’ll apply that to more enlightening material in his next project. It’s just his usual bad luck that he was called to replace someone else for a quick snatch-and-grab job at the last minute, and that virtually every other passenger on the bullet train he boards seems to have an interest in procuring the same briefcase. It’s even harder to imagine how it started as a book about Japanese people, as “Bullet Train” — set along the Hayate line railway tracks that run between Tokyo and Kyoto — boasts more white cast members from “The Lost City” than it does locally born major characters. Even though David Leitch’s cotton-candy-and-flop-sweat adaptation of Kōtarō Isaka’s “MariaBeetle” is the kind of Hollywood action movie so mindless and star-driven that it’s almost impossible to imagine how it started as a book.

The rules of the game and a sense of how it should be played are both established in a fine afternoon-and-night scene when everyone collects at the starting point and George Grenville cuts stunningly between main-street brouhaha and the testy/friendly, sizing-up session in the corral. Ladybug is tasked by his handler, Maria Beetle (Bullock), to snatch a briefcase from a bullet train heading to Kyoto. The reality is that Bullet Train is not just an entertaining romp of a popcorn flick, but a well-written romp featuring a cast of memorable characters portrayed by actors clearly having a blast in their respective roles. He sometimes sacrifices lucidity for effect (as when Wallach’s motormouth inexplicably goes all tacitly Van Cleef for one compelling scene as he “shops” for a new gun), but Leone’s cinema, now fully embraced by cinephiles and fanboys alike, is practically a genre unto itself. And, of course, those alternately lush or obtuse snatches of Ennio Morricone music that you’re never quite sure are merely musical accompaniment and not possibly emanating from the action on the screen—as when a Confederate P.O.W. band plays accompaniment to a prolonged beating or when desert birds seem to be whistling along to the signature fourth-inversion riff. Eastwood’s Man with No Name might have a latently (postmodern) unscrupulous streak in his race against Lee Van Cleef’s “Bad” and Eli Wallach’s “Ugly” to find $200,000 worth of buried gold, but the scene where Eastwood covers a dying Civil War soldier with his trench coat confirms that there’s really nowhere near as much room for debating his moral alignment as there was even in the later work of John Ford. The climax of Silver Bullet takes place on Halloween night, so the film was given an appropriate release date of October 11th in 1985. While making decisions on the set of the film, he would sometimes even ask himself, “What would Spielberg do? But it’s worth noting that De Laurentiis did not get what he wanted in the finished film. It’s clumsy, amateurish, and completely ridiculous—but in that sweet spot where you can still have a good time if you’re in the mood for low-rent sci-fi mayhem. On one hand, you’ve got a classic B-movie alien invasion setup. The core problem with Nightbeast is that it can’t decide what movie it wants to be. Even some of the cinematically-inflected cutscenes from the beginning of the game fall flat because someone forgot to turn off the environmental reverb, making every spoken line echo like the characters are shouting into a metal bucket. Of course, a short-and-sweet campaign would still feel like a waste of time if the mechanics didn’t engage, and it’s here that Fatal Bullet makes the most dramatic departure from SAO games past. For every inspired change that makes me want to call this game “Anime Destiny” (a very high compliment, by my lights), there are a bunch of rough edges that reveal just where Dimps had to cut corners for lack of time or resources, or baffling decisions that make Fatal Bullet look  downright amateurish. It’s close enough though that it allows players to walk the canonical path for a while, at least, as well as play out various event scenes with the cast (including Pillow Talk events with the core SAO characters). During the main campaign all the core Sword Art Online characters join up as playable party members, but later on, a special “Kirito Mode” campaign unlocks. You know you’ve made it when it’s your character and not the canonical lead that’s sleeping – very literally – with all the cute girls and boys. All the same, though, the simple act of putting the player character first allows even the most unremarkable conflicts and encounters to feel personal and impactful, no matter how long a shadow the “canon” characters cast.
  • A welcome domestic UK release for Jiang Wen’s film, with a sharp picture and sound quality, but absolutely no special features or extras at all!
  • The film’s masterful use of cinematic language, adherence to storytelling principles, and powerful character development make it a must-watch for any fan of the Western genre.
  • The film also contributed to another hit tune when Big Audio Dynamite sampled the reading of Tuco's charge sheet for Medicine Show.
  • I won’t remember it by the time I’ve finished writing this review, while I may think about the final shot of The Bullet Train for the rest of my life…
  • This release is sans HDR but it’s hard to see where going there would do much to enhance its impact.
  • I love how every time I see this film, it's still exciting to watch even though I know every twist and turn in the plot.
Sometimes that’s exactly what you need. The action feels fresh, not repetitive. The film handles its ensemble cast well.
Storyline
The main stumbling block with the film, which stops it from being anything other than ‘not bad’, is that it feels like a rehash. However, don’t expect anything amazing or dynamic in The Alto Knights, and crucially, don’t expect anything original. Directed by Barry Levinson, and starring Robert De Niro, Debra Messing, Cosmo Jarvis, and Kathrine Narducci, The Alto Knights is a crime drama which is loosely based on a true story. Convinced it’s time to retire, Frank makes it known he is ready to cede control of his business interests. While it might borrow ideas and elements from other films, it manages to do its own thing, and do it rather well. As such your interest in the film might vary depending on a.) what you expect to see and b.) how much you care. In the film, one year has passed since her sister mysteriously disappeared, and Clover Paul and her friends go in search of answers. Directed by David F. Sandberg, Until Dawn follows a group of friends who are trapped in a nightmarish fight for survival. Where the film struggles a bit is in the simple fact this has been done before. Many a film poses this very same question, specifically those that fall in the horror/thriller genre—few, if any, are willing to sink deep into the grimy depths explored within. Unexpected chemistry between Monroe and Coster-Waldau make the film’s harsher moments and murky morals more palatable than anticipated. Each stop on the crazy train gets the duo closer to finding Sara, and deeper into losing their own humanity. With Case in tow, Bob’s journey turns into something of a twisted road trip movie.
  • The director begins with his love as a child of both manga and movies but ultimately choosing manga because of it being a more pragmatic goal.
  • He points out the film’s budget was around $400K which was about half of what it cost to make a theatrical release.
  • Not that you can’t gloss right on by the myriad ins and outs of the story and still enjoy the movie.
  • While this cannot be helped entirely since it’s based off the source material, it still doesn’t make it any easier on the eyes.
  • Explore all characters from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1967).
  • As the Bad, he exudes villainy with a maniacal relish, like Jack Nicholson’s Joker, and better suits the energetic mood of this film than Lee Van Cleef’s inscrutable Angel Eyes.
  • The effects of widely variable amounts of active ingredient range from low efficacy at a minimum to severe side effects and negative drug interactions at the worst.
  • It came and went in the blink of an eye, but the weather was at least kind, so I do hope you had a lovely time.
  • Here we go again, and again, and again…I just melt into the aural timeline of this song.
As the story carries on beyond the encounter with the ghost, Alan has to grapple with these questions. But the ambiguity is placed within the choice that Alan makes (which I don’t want to reveal), and whether he ultimately has any culpability in the potential consequences that may, or may not, come because of it. The ambiguity isn’t whether or not Alan was picked up by a ghost that night, as that much is clear. What I liked most about this story is that there is a certain ambiguity to it. Specifically Alan Parker, our narrator and protagonist who is picked up by a ghost on the night his mother is sick in the hospital. There is not a scratch or blemish present on any of the films. The grainy look of each of the films adds to the gritty aesthetic of the work. The films – most shot on 16mm or 35mm – look beautiful. Each of these films are masterfully transferred to Blu-ray.
