Camptra is looking for a hands-on Cloud Engineer to own the day-to-day reliability, security, performance, and scalability of the AWS infrastructure supporting our AI-powered SaaS products. The role works closely with Development, QA, Product, and Support teams and requires strong ownership of production operations, deployments, incident response, and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support AWS environments across development, test, and production, including EC2, ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS, S3, VPC, ALB, Auto Scaling, Route 53, WAF, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, Cognito, and Amplify.
  • Own infrastructure monitoring, health checks, capacity, backups, snapshots, alerts, SSL/DNS, security groups, IAM access, and cloud cost/resource utilization.
  • Support Docker-based deployments and CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions; assist with releases, hotfixes, rollback, and environment configuration.
  • Troubleshoot issues across Linux servers, networking, load balancers, containers, databases, DNS, storage, connectivity, and application infrastructure.
  • Manage Amazon RDS/PostgreSQL operations including availability, performance, storage, backups, replication, recovery, and access security.
  • Maintain disaster recovery readiness, cross-region recovery capability, runbooks, recovery testing, and business continuity procedures.
  • Perform production incident response, root-cause analysis, preventive actions, patching, infrastructure hardening, and security remediation.

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of hands-on AWS/cloud infrastructure experience with strong knowledge of EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, ECR/ECS, ALB, Auto Scaling, and Route 53.
  • Strong understanding of VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, NAT/Internet gateways, load balancing, DNS, and cloud networking.
  • Hands-on Linux administration, Docker/container operations, PostgreSQL/RDS support, Git, CI/CD, monitoring, log analysis, and production troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding of cloud security, IAM/least privilege, encryption, secrets/configuration management, backup, DR, high availability, and incident management.
  • Ability to independently diagnose complex infrastructure issues, document operational procedures, and communicate clearly with technical stakeholders.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK, AWS Systems Manager, Secrets Manager, KMS, DMS, Athena, Bedrock, multi-region architectures, RDS cross-region replicas, ECS Fargate, security/compliance practices, and AWS certifications.

Shift Requirements

This is a shift-based role. The selected candidate will initially work the US Night Shift and should be comfortable supporting US business hours, production releases, maintenance, and critical incidents when required. A Night Shift Allowance will be provided in accordance with Camptra company policy. Shift assignments may rotate based on business requirements.
